designing an e-commerce website for my local Muslim youth sisters organization analyzing the usability of the starbucks app through user research and testing
The Young Muslim Sisters youth organization started an online merch store and requested me to work as website lead to design the website using Shopify. I lead a team of 4 girls to understand the project needs and design the look, feel, and navigation of the website and bring it to life using on Shopify.

We started by meeting as a team to get to know each other and understand what we were building out. We reached out to other teams in the project and got a rough idea of our website's purpose, target audience, desired features, and competitors.
Our next step was to design a look and feel for the website that fit the Young Muslims branding but was also unique to the store.
We settled on a green, white, and black color scheme with the addition of a floral design and started sketching out website designs.
After agreeing on a design style, our next step was building out the website. We used Shopify as our platform. While it was challenging to work with a new platform and learn coding language on the spot, it was a new learning opportunity and we were able to create a beautiful, customized website that fit our organization's needs.
